Driving strategic growth through process optimization and exceptional design
In my most recent role at IBM, I leveraged my deep experience in product design and program management to enhance internal tools and applications that support IBM employee administrative processes, making them more efficient and usable. By decreasing the complex operational aspects of their jobs, IBM employees can spend more time servicing our clients to meet the revenue needs of the organization.

Project Onboarding
To deliver design assets more efficiently, understand the product landscape, reduce frustration and rework among designers when starting a new project, I led a team to create a project onboarding process that delivered resources in one location.
The content advised designers on preparation, engagement with cross-discipline teams and deliver effectively. It also provided techniques to educate non-design teammates on best ways to work with Design. This reduced time on obtaining key information like project metrics, product roadmap enabling quicker design delivery, fostering collaboration and advocating for Design.

Product Design Skills Structure
To ensure product designers have the skills needed to deliver high-quality products that meet organizational goals, I initiated a project to provide them with a clear understanding of essential technical and behavioral competencies. This project also offered practical advice on prioritizing skill development and working with design leadership to ensure their skills align with the specific needs of their products.
By establishing this clear framework, we empowered designers to grow their skills and provided design leaders with a reliable tool for aligning projects with team expertise.

CIO Design Mentoring Program
To build a pipeline of experienced designers and promote design excellence across CIO and IBM Design Practices, I implemented a customized mentoring program. As the program gained popularity, we expanded its scope to include teaching design skills to non-design employees.
This program featured internal marketing, a streamlined enrollment process, applicant interviews to discuss goals, a network review for optimal mentor pairing, and personalized kickoff meetings to set mentors and mentees up for success. It also included best practices training and feedback mechanisms for program improvement.
The program impacted over 100 IBM employees and consistently achieved Net Promoter Scores (NPS) of 50+ (Excellent), reflecting exceptional participant satisfaction. Mentees reported strong mentor-mentee matches and highly impactful experiences. As one participant shared in the latest feedback survey:
“My mentor taught me the importance of confidence and communication. Their leadership skills significantly influenced me over the past year, helping me achieve breakthroughs in my project”

Empowering design practitioners
to advance in their careers
CIO Design Career Framework
To provide clear expectations on design practitioner career progression and establish a standardized evaluation and promotion submission process, I created a framework that outlined specific criteria for each career level, enabling designers to understand the skills and scope required for advancement. The framework provided a structured process for managers to evaluate promotion readiness, reducing the time and effort involved in preparing promotion materials.
By standardizing the evaluation process, the framework ensured greater consistency and fairness across teams. The increased clarity and structure provided by the framework led to an 11% increase in our design practice’s engagement score and established a foundation for ongoing conversations between managers and employees.

Modernizing the digital workplace
My IBM
I’ve led efforts to modernize and improve the user experience creating a leading digital marketplace for IBM’s external customers, enabling easy acquisition of free trial software to drive an increase in purchasing enterprise level software licenses of digital products across our customer base.

Boosting confidence and job readiness through website redesign
Bottomless Closet
I coordinated and led a volunteer effort for our team members to donate their time and skills to redesign the Bottomless Closet website. Bottomless Closet is a nonprofit organization that helps New York City women in need enter the workforce.
I presented this project to IBM Design senior leadership for approval and worked closely with IBM Legal Representatives and Corporate Social Responsibility teams to establish the necessary agreements. I also recruited a team of talented designers and user researchers to provide consulting services for the redesign. We met with Bottomless Closet representatives to gain a deep understanding of their requirements and conducted a thorough review of the existing website. Our team proposed user experience and visual design enhancements and conducted a review of the site’s content. As a result, our recommendations were applied to key locations of the Bottomless Closet website resulting in a better content display and usability.
Our visual approach to improve text legibility was incorporated onto the site.
Galvanizing communities to take action through design
Call for Code for Racial Justice
As a designer on the IBM Call for Code Racial Justice Team Truth, I played a key role in developing the Truth Loop App. This innovative app empowers communities to understand the policies, regulations, and legislation that directly impact their lives. I conducted user research to gain insights into the needs of our target audience and made significant contributions to enhancing the user experience.
Additionally, I led the design effort for sample videos that were showcased within the app. Our hard work and dedication paid off when the app was selected to be featured on the IBM Call for Code Racial Justice website as a "solution starter" for global teams addressing systemic racism. Furthermore, we were recognized for our contributions with award points for inventions published through IBM's Invention Achievement Award Program.
